Tom Armstrong is a Registered Piano Technician Member of the Piano Technicians Guild, a professional organization that has high technical and ethical standards for membership. He is active in local meetings, and attends regional and national conventions. The "PTG" is the only organization of its kind in the United States, publishing the only technical publication for piano technicians. Registered Technicians are up to date and well prepared for piano servicing.

He is an accomplished pianist, violinist, and sound technician. He understands the needs of musicians, and appreciates fine instruments beyond their mechanical abilities.
